O’Brien were awarded the contract for enabling works for our client who is an established developer based in Shropshire.
The works on site included drainage and attenuation ponds on ag scheme for the first phase of a future high quality housing development in Ludlow.
The works started during the outbreak of COVID-19 thereby presenting O’Brien with challenges to overcome to ensure that the site operated under the strict government guidelines in place at the time.
Our project team commenced work on site on a 3 month programme and in addition to the planning and assessment we carry out for all contracts, a considerable amount of time was been spent ensuring that we in accordance with current strict guidelines for Covid-19 to protect all parties involved, this continued throughout the works.
The storm water drainage works were completed as well as High Voltage Electrical service diversion trenching works ahead of the cabling and jointing works by Western Power Distribution.
We are also approaching a significant stage of the project with the planned road closure and storm drainage installation using Vacuum Excavation methods.
