O’Brien were awarded the contract for enabling works for our client who is an established developer based in Shropshire.
The works on site included drainage and attenuation ponds on a scheme for the first phase of a future high quality housing development in Ludlow.
The works started during the outbreak of COVID-19 thereby presenting O’Brien with challenges to overcome to ensure that the site operated under the strict government guidelines in place at the time.
Our project team commenced work on site on a 3-month programme and in addition to the planning and assessment we carry out for all contracts, a considerable amount of time has been spent ensuring that we in accordance with current strict guidelines for Covid-19 to protect all parties involved, this continued throughout the works.
The storm water drainage works were completed as well as High Voltage Electrical service diversion trenching works ahead of the cabling and jointing works by Western Power Distribution. Storm drainage installation was carried out using Vacuum Excavation methods.
Traffic management was put in place to manage road closures for part of the works.
