Exemplifying the best in sports construction is something we are proud to embody, as seen in our contract with Northampton School for Boys : a £2.1 million, fully comprehensive, sports facility package.
An integral part of the education programme, schools and colleges provide the building blocks for many sporting professionals. But without the facilities to do so, many budding athletes might not be able to achieve their full potential.
With a longstanding passion for sports, our work with the college forms part of a £28 million new modular-build campus. Comprised of 40,000m² of natural turf pitches, a full size 3G synthetic surfaced football pitch with associated lighting and fencing, and a 62 x 36m “Leisuretex” surfaced Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), designed to facilitate sports such as tennis and netball, the contracted work will go on to support the sporting development of students for years to come.
Building on our 65 years of experience, our team are committed to always delivering the best possible product for our clients. With our broad knowledge of sports faciliities the full size 3G pitch and MUGA have been fitted with extensive drainage to ensure they remain usable in all weather conditions, as well as having a permeable sub-base and tarmacadam shock pads, designed to improve safety for users.
Right from the start
Involved right from the start, we were approached by Algeco in April 2021. Over the course of two years, we’ve worked with the main contractor and the college to plan, design, and prepare a best-in-class facility, with works commencing in March 2023. Collaboratively, we’ve exceeded the college’s vision for the project. Brought in to provide a full design and build service, we have been able to draw on our team’s extensive experience in total sports project solutions and bring the vision to life. All works delivered are in accordance with relevant Sport England and FA Guidelines.
