- Client: Inglewood Investments
- Project: Prime Point 14
- Location: Staffordshire
- Sector: Industrial
- Value: £1.3m
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
- Service: Infrastructure Works, Earthworks, Enabling Works, 278 Works
Following the successful enabling works to the project’s site entrance under a highways section 278 scheme, we were engaged to undertake all the infrastructure works on behalf of development company Inglewood Investments Limited.
All of the cutting and filling works were designed and value engineered by us in order to allow the client to retain all bulk earth materials on site to construct the various plots and be supplemented by a minimal amount of imported material to complete the works.
The bulk earthworks also consisted of the stripping, stockpiling for re use of approximately 6,000m3 of topsoil, with a further 6,800m3 of soils being removed from the site.
The works also consisted of the construction of a new access road through the middle of the development and included the construction of a 360m long single lane carriageway with associated Kerbs, surfacing, drainage, footpaths, street lighting and service infrastructure.
We lead the design team appointed by the client, to resolve design issues and achieve approvals from statutory authorities such as Staffordshire County Council and Severn Trent Water. These approvals were required as the main access road would be adopted by the authorities at a later date and would have to be constructed to the required standards for adoption.
