The construction of an Aldi Food Store with associated car parks and 278 works in Stone for O’Neil and Partners and Staffordshire County Council.
The contract involved drainage, substructures and earthworks services, including: reduce level dig and cut and fill exercises. We implemented cost effective solutions for the contract that rationalised the original earthworks proposals allowing them to reduce the volume of off-site material required on site. The proposals also ensured that we facilitated the reduction of the environmental impact on the surrounding areas.
As principal contractor for the 278 works, we created a new entrance to the store, managed specialist sub-contractor packages, such as traffic signals, street lighting, road signage and surfacing alongside the in-house civil engineering works. The project was completed on time and to budget.
